Home Sewn

at the Carlisle Tool Library

In this public pay-what-you-can series of sewing workshops in the craft space at the tool library, we explored visible repair and various styles of garment fixing, construction, editing, and embellishment. Each edition has a theme and invited local community members to bring their own household textiles and clothing to repair.

A Tool Library is like a library for books, except its shelves are stocked with tools. At the Carlisle Tool Library, our annual memberships are designed to be accessible—there is a sliding scale for individuals from any income level. Members can borrow tools, participate in workshops, and use the wood shop.
